Global Nomads take on Global Migration

What was my greatest joy, that our course announcement and Lilly's sincere advertising passion - brought to our first class a unique group of people, representing different countries and cultures, different ethnicities, professions and previous life experiences.

We appreciated this by allowing enough time for everyone to share their previous practices and future goals, specifying their learning interests - this by itself was very educational and brought several discoveries and additions to the topic, like the fact that becoming nomads for many people was not their "free choice" and was driven by unfortunate demands beyond their control 🛂

But what brings all nomads in one pool - they do work remotely and they do speak foreign languages, that allows them to travel the world 🌎 This is why our first class topic was devoted to analysis of the global migration trends during last century as well as international remittances - monies sent in mass from one country to another by private people, that signals people working in one country, while sending 💰 to their families on other parts of the world.

All the participants had a lot to say about every slide with Big Data the teacher had provided - from International Organisation on Migration - IOM - which provides enough data to all thinking 🤔 people for independent analysis - which is a good place to select the topic for the Course Research Work😉

We will continue migration trends and results - to feel the wave 🌊 that carries nomads around the globe 🌎 and will then turn to explore nomad various identities - expats? migrants? relocants? - and what is the difference between them.

To join our reflective nomadic team, sign up for the course here. See you next Thursday at 19:00!
